Abstract

The curriculum 2013  is one of the policies of the Indonesian government in improving the quality of human resources through education  that is adjusted  to the needs of the community. Changes in the learning process in the  curriculum 2013 have an impact on the readiness of teachers to implement it. Based on the results of the FGD conducted with elementary school teachers in the Kuningan region, it was stated that most of the teachers still had difficulties in implementing the learning process that was in accordance with the learning process of the 2013 curriculum. This statement should be explored further on what were the causes of teacher difficulties in applying the learning process in accordance with  the  curriculum 2013. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research on the implementation of standard processes in the  curriculum 2013 in elementary schools. The research method used in this study is case study. The study was conducted at public elementary schools located in Kuningan Regency, namely SD Negeri Dukuhdalem, Japara District, SD Negeri 1 Manislor, Jalaksana District, and SD Negeri 1 Purwawinangun, Kuningan District. There are two types of research instruments used, namely observation sheets and interview guides. The results of the study note that the main obstacle in carrying out the syllabus in the curriculum 2013 is the lack of socialization in changing syllabus content, teachers have difficulty in making lesson plans, especially to include activities that are in accordance with the scientific approach, there is a gap between the material needed and the source of material in the book. provided, in the classroom management aspect the obstacle faced is the teacher's lack of readiness to follow changes in the learning process in the  curriculum 2013, the teacher is still unable to carry out the demands of the learning process that is in accordance with the  curriculum 2013 in the assessment process, most teachers complained about the complexity of the assessment process. Abstract

The background of this research is the importance of the attitude of caring for the environment that is planted early on starting from the elementary school level. The purpose of this study is to find out how the attitude of caring for students' environment in 184 Pekanbaru Elementary School. This research is quantitative descriptive research type. This research was conducted at 184 Pekanbaru Elementary School. Based on the results of research assessed from 6 indicators, namely cleaning toilets, cleaning trash cans, cleaning the school environment, beautifying classrooms and schools with plants, participating in maintaining parks in schools and participating in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Based on the results of the study showed that 184 Pekanbaru Public Elementary School students have a very caring attitude towards the environment with an acquisition value of 89.02 in the very caring category

Abstract

Humans have an important role in protecting nature or the environment, to preserve the environment the need for environmental ethics. The Adiwiyata program can instill environmental ethics in school residents, especially students. Research conducted to describe environmental ethics on the behavior of elementary school students around the canteen. Environmental Ethics Indicators visible around the canteen are: 1) Responsibility for the Environment, 2) Solidarity with the Environment, 3) Compassion and care for nature or the environment, 4) Do not damage the nature or the environment, 5) Live simply and aligned with nature. This type of research is descriptive research, the research instrument is observation and interviews. The results is environmental ethics did not yet exist on student behavior. Student awareness in protecting the environment is still low, seen from the lack of environmental ethics in student behavior. The school should pay more attention to environmental ethics on student behavior, and make activities that can instill or enhance environmental ethics on student behavior

Abstract

This research is in the background by the low learning outcomes of PKn-grade III students Negeri Elementary School 188 Pekanbaru, with an average class of 68.25. While the value of 40 students are only 17 students who achieve the minimum submission criteria. This research is a class action research  conducted aims to improve the learning outcomes of PKn-grade III students Negeri Elementary School 188 Pekanbaru by applying a cooperative model of make a match type. The subject of this study is a grade III student of State Elementary School 188 Pekanbaru year 2018/2019. The data collection instruments on this thesis are teacher activity sheets and student activities and learning outcomes. This thesis presents the data of the learning outcomes obtained from the average learning results before the 68.25 action increased by 12.63% on average to 76.87 on the I cycle. In the II cycle it increased to 19.41% with an average of 81.5. Teacher activity on first meeting cycle I gained a percentage of 62.5% of the category enough, at the second meeting experienced an increase by a percentage of 79.16% good category. Next cycle II first meeting of teacher activity also experienced an increase with a percentage of 83.33% good category, and the second meeting experienced another increase by the percentage of 95.83% very good category. In the results of the study, students began to understand the course of PKn lessons after they had the cooperative model of the Make a match type marked with increased teacher activity and student activities and the results of learning on each cycle. The results of the research in class III of State Elementary School 188 Pekanbaru proved that the implementation of model cooperative type make a match can be a result of learning the results of PKn-grade III students Negeri Elementary School 188 Pekanbaru

Abstract

The background of this research is the low level of narrative essay writing skills. This is due to several factors including because students are less interested and feel bored with writing material, students have difficulty in choosing words and use of spelling, it is because students do not have a broad vocabulary, so the words used are just that, so essays written only modest, usually consisting of 1-2 sentences. Then students are less skilled in connecting one sentence with another sentence so that no good paragraphs are formed. Students are confused in placing punctuation marks such as periods, commas, question marks, and exclamation points that are still incorrect. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of flash card media on the narrative essay writing skills of third grade students at SDN 188 Pekanbaru. This research method uses quasi experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research is class III students of SDN 188 Pekanbaru, which is class IIIA, amounting to 40 students as the control class and class IIIB, which amounts to 40 students as the experimental class. The sampling technique uses saturated samples. The instrument used as data in this study was an essay test in the form of a narrative essay writing assignment. Hypothesis testing is done by using the "t" test and Effect Size (ES). Based on the results of the study shows that the use of flash card media affects the writing skills of students' narrative essays and the magnitude of the effect of flash card media is included in the medium category

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia learning media on science subjects using Adobe Flash as a learning media for SD IVC classes. This development is in the form of learning media products in an interactive CD. The method used in this study uses the Research and Development (R & D) method with a 4D model that has 4 stages of development, namely define, design, development, and desseminate. The results of the validation test show that interactive multimedia learning media in science subjects are declared good with the results of validation by media experts 3.75 with very valid categories, expert material 3.5 with very valid categories, and by 3.54 users in good categories. Based on the N-Gain of 0.60 with the medium category and it can be said that the effectiveness of interactive multimedia as a learning media is classified as effective. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of interactive multimedia on science subjects using adobe flash as an instructional media for SD IVC is declared feasible and effective to be used in the learning and teaching process

Abstract

This research is in the background by the weakness of student learning motivation in the teaching and learning process, one of which is characterized by students tend to be passive and less enthusiastic. The purpose of the study was to find out whether there was an effect of giving reinforcement to students 'learning motivation and how much influence the giving of reinforcement on students' learning motivation. The approach in this study is quantitative with the type of experimental research, the design of this study is pre-experimental. The pre-experimental design used in this study was one pretest-posttest group. The subjects in this study were 27 grade V students of SDN 018 Rantau Sialang with 8 men and 19 women. The variables in this study are the variables of giving reinforcement and student motivation. Data collection using documentation and questionnaires. Validity test using Pearson product moment formula and reliability test using Alpha formula. The analysis prerequisite test used the normality test with the Kolmogrov-Smirnov One Sample test using SPSS 17.0 for windows. Hypothesis testing uses the t test with the help of SPSS and the last effect test. The results showed that there was an effect of giving reinforcement to students' learning motivation, as evidenced by the results of the t test at a significant level of 1% and 5% namely tcount> ttable or at level 1% (7,751> 1,298) at the level of 5% (7,751> 1,674). Calculation of the effect test (effect size) obtained by ES is 3.146, this figure is included in the high category because the effect size is more than 0.8. It was concluded that giving reinforcement had an effect on the learning motivation of V grade students of SDN 018 Rantau Sialang Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuansing with a high category

Abstract

The purpose ofthis research to analize the effectiveness of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) model in improving social studies learning of elementary scool students. This model is one of cooperative learning that can give student learning motivation. First, the researcher formulated the problem and than collect exiting research data that was already throughgoogle scholar. The research data found of 12 articles and 1 relevantthesis result. The researcher analyzed the result of the study using quantitative comparison methods. Based on the result of the analysis, Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) models are effectively used in improving social studies learning of elementary school students. Increase in students learning of elementary starting from the lowest 6.9 % to the highest 56.6 % with an average increase of 34.61 %.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading ability of 2nd grade students at SDN 067 Pekanbaru. The low reading ability of students is caused by the teacher not using learning media in learning so that the learning process becomes monotonous and students' abilities are different. One of the media that can be used to improve reading skills is the flashcard media. Media flashcard is a method of reading by using a card that contains pictures that are equipped with words. This study aims to improve the reading skills of 2nd grade students at SDN 067 Pekanbaru the use of flashcard. The research conducted was classroom action research with research subjects namely students in class 2 SDN 067 Pekanbaru totaling 24 people. The results of research on teacher activity increased at the first meeting of the  cycle I with a presentation of 70.83%, at the second meeting increased to 75%. Then in the cycle II increased again at the first meeting 83.33%, and the second meeting increased to 87.5%. Meanwhile student activity also increased, namely at the first meeting of the  cycle I having a percentage of 70.83% at the second meeting to 79.17%. Then at the first meeting the  cycle I increased to 87.5%, at the second meeting increased again to 91.67%. The results of increasing the reading ability of 2nd grade students at SDN 067 Pekanbaru, from the base score of 63.75, increased in the cycle I to 73.88 with a percentage of 15.89%, then in the cycle I again increased to 83.96 with a percentage of 31.70%
